Course Description

What is RVSM? Why do we use it? What effect does RVSM have on an aircraft type certificate? Learn the answers to these questions and more in Global Jet Services RVSM e-learning course. Gain familiarity with aircraft requirements, testing, and training for RVSM compliance. Our practical and innovative course puts you on the flight deck, using essential components and test equipment with digital simulations. Not only will you learn maintenance training requirements and practices, you will become well-versed in how to complete necessary forms and logs. With its focus on the flight deck, air data and air traffic control systems, as well as regulations that include Chapter 5 and MMEL, this course offers a comprehensive introduction RVSM with the most innovative technology available in the industry.

  • The course consists of 5 lessons and a final exam.
  • In order to receive a certificate upon completion of the course, the exam must be passed with a score of at least 75%.

Objectives

  • Describe RVSM, including the effect it has on the aircraft's type certificate
  • Understand the regulations, training requirements, and maintenance practices related to RVSM
  • Identify the components and system requirements required for an aircraft to be RVSM approved
  • Locate information in an MMEL, 91.411, and Appendix E and apply the information found there to the system and testing requirements for RVSM
  • Apply his/her knowledge of the RVSM requirements to complete the maintenance manual/log and other required forms
